Before your blood is analysed, our laboratory team checks the condition of the blood. Hemolytic blood (clotted blood) will not be used for the examination. We will then contact you and automatically send you a new kit so that you can collect a new sample. How can the blood become hemolytic? There are two possibilities:
1. The blood transport took too long or the blood was exposed to very high temperatures during transportation (in the mailbox).
2. When the blood sample was collected, too much pressure was applied to the fingertip , so that the red blood cells "burst" and the blood became hemolytic.
In eiter case, we will send you a new test kit!
