Can errors in blood collection or shipping affect my test result?

Before your blood is used for the examination, our laboratory team checks the condition of the blood. Hemolytic blood (clotted blood) cannot be used for the examination. If your sample clotted, we will then contact you and automatically send you a new kit so that you can collect another blood sample. How can the blood become hemolytic? There are two possibilities:

1. The blood transport took too long or the blood was exposed to very high temperatures during transport (e.g. in the mailbox).

2. Too much pressure was applied to your finger blood during sample collection, so that the red blood cells "burst" and the blood clotted.

In either case, we will send you a new test kit!

For US.

Our laboratory team checks the condition of your blood sample prior to the analysis. If your blood sample is damaged and cannot be analyzed for any reason, we will email you and send you a new kit so that you can collect another blood sample.

How can the blood become damaged? There are two possibilities:

1. It took too long for the sample to be returned to the laboratory.

2. Too much pressure was applied to your finger blood during the sample collection, so the red blood cells "burst".

In either case, we will send you a new test kit!
